My 3 Favorite Kosher Dairy Restaurants in Crown Heights Brooklyn

Crown Heights doesn't have too many Kosher dairy restaurants, but these are the 3 I recommend checking out. When going out, it's important to know what to order. Some places have great dishes but there are also many mediocre ones.

The trick is know which ones to get!

They have four locations and one of them is on Troy Ave. I went a few times when it first opened but I wasn't so impressed. There was barely anything to choose from! The good news is that I went today for a lunch with a friend and I was blown away by the selection! Everything was so tasty.

Here's what we ordered that was noteworthy:

The Pastrami Lox Croissant

No, it doesn't actually have pastrami in it, it's given this name because the spice and flavor that is normally used on pastrami is used to flavor the lox. This is definitely on the saltier side but I absolutely loved it and devoured it. The cream cheese and capers inside were perfect.

The Cremini / Porcini quiche

Found on the savory section of the menu, this was hands down my favorite dish of the 4 that we ordered! The crust is intense but so well made. The flavor of the cheese and mushrooms are simply perfect. The photo doesn't do it justice. I took one to go for my husband to enjoy.

They also have decent Focaccia and sourdough bread.

Also located on Troy Ave. They recently pivoted from Mediterranean food to Italian & Mediterranean so I'm keeping my eye on how these changes go! They have an outdoor space that has a roof so you can enjoy sunshine even on a rainy or chilly day. I always opt to eat out there. Here's what you need to order:

The Signature Cigar Rolls

Just trust me okay, it's creamy, crispy and very well flavored. The dipping sauces it comes with isn't anything special but it doesn't even matter. It's my favorite dish on their menu.

Schwarma Tacos

This is another dish I really enjoy. It's a little on the pricy side for an app. It tastes like shwarma but it it's actually made out of Ahi Tuna.

Buffalo Pizza

The Buffalo Cauliflower bites on the top of this pizza make this a really tasty pie!

For dessert, order the waffles.

It's more on the outskirts of Crown Heights, but this Israeli style restaurant is worth the walk! They have boxes by category if you enjoy variety and want to taste a few different things. Ask them about it. I particularly enjoy their Jaffa Breakfast.
