Kosher Food in Florence / Tuscany

We were in Italy for three weeks and Tuscany was definitely our favorite city!

Don’t skip this part of Italy.

Florence reminded me of cleaner less busier version of Rome with the best part being - the hills of Tuscany, just a short car ride away! So let's begin with my favorite stop in Tuscany, Tera Di Seta.

It's a vineyard where they make Kosher wine, offer tours and have wine tastings paired with Kosher cheese. They also have a farm to table style restaurant and the food was fantastic! There are apartments for rent on the property as well. We drove in for the tour, wine tasting and lovely lunch.

Cantina Giuliano also has Kosher food options, a pasta making class and more! We weren't able to make it but I've heard the food is also great!

In Florence proper there are two kosher restaurants. One meat, one dairy. And one grocery store with kosher food options!

They also have the historic Great Synagogue

Address: Via Luigi Carlo Farini, 6, 50121 Firenze FI, Italy

It's gorgeous, and rich with history. A must stop.

First up, Ruth's. (Dairy)

Address: accanto alla sinagoga di Firenze, Via Luigi Carlo Farini, 2a, 50121 Firenze FI, Italy

While I wasn't crazy about the food, having Kosher dining options is a huge win!

Next up, Ba Ghetto (Meat)

Address: Via Luigi Carlo Farini, 5r, 50121 Firenze FI, Italy

Same feelings, not crazy about the food.

Both have indoor and outdoor dining options which was so nice!

Carrefour Express is a supermarket near the Shul that has a Kosher aisle. The best part is that it has Kosher cheese!

Enjoy your trip!
